As an avid outdoor enthusiast and BASE jumper I frequently found myself driving massive distances in the middle of nowhere to the point that fuel became a major concern. Tired of having to install my cargo carrier in order to haul extra fuel outside the vehicle I sat down with a goal of creating a way to haul up to 3 gallons of fuel attached to the back of the vehicle, in the vehicles slip stream to not reduce fuel economy, looked clean, and was removable to where I could take it off and not have damage or additional exposed holes. This is the brain-child that successfully crosses off all of those boxes extending my driveable adventure range by 120 miles. LIQUID CONTAINER MOUNT - Laser cut from 3/16" 5052 aluminum, CNC formed, black UV resistant electrophoresis coated, and laser etched. Mounts to license plate mounting locations. Designed for use with Rotopax style liquid containers. *Liquid containers and container mounting brackets sold separately.*As with mounting anything that extends from the rear of the vehicle, rear view camera may be affected. This product requires drilling 2 holes, and inserting 2 rivnuts. (Rivnut tool not supplied. The one we use can be purchased HERE.) Stiffer trunk struts will need to be purchased in order to support the additional weight of the mount and liquid containers filled with liquid while trunk is up.
